THE SECRET OF LIFE
The secret of life is to maintain one´s composure
In the face of any disaster, or plague, or indecent exposure
The secret of life is to believe in a benevolent deity
And despite all evidence au contraire
To keep faith and avoid gaiety
I believe in joie de vivre
And what I give I shall receive
I believe in Campbell´s Soup, cotton candy, Hula Hoop
I believe in JFK, Rock Hudson, Doris Day
I believe in At The Hop, Lone Ranger, Sugar Pops
The secret of life is to exude confidence
And to always observe convention
With dignity, poise, and elegance
I believe in fashion sense, silicon breasts, circus tents
I believe in life on Mars, photo ops, movie stars
I believe in faster chips, bluer eyes, slimmer hips
I believe in Donald Trump, Calvin Klein, Forrest Gump
